In The Olden Days

The preservation of nature started long time ago - in Noah's era. 

When God was about to send a storm to destroy the earth, He instructed Noah to save a male and a female of each and every one of His creation - that has life in it. 

For God - The Omniscient One - knows that:

To destroy His creation, is to destroy the very essence of God. 

Today

Therefore, in this time and age, when people have lost their sense of Love (or God), 

the instructions of God are still the same as that in Noah's time: 

 "Let us preserve God's creation", 

for to destroy The Creation, is to destroy that which forms part of our heritage - the very evidence of God's Love.
